It’s summer time–but that doesn’t mean it’s time to stop learning!

The research is clear that children who don’t read during the summer can lose up to three months of reading progress and that loss has a cumulative, long-term effect.

Use this checklist to assess what stage of reading development a student has achieved based upon the skills they presently possess. This assessment can assist you in identifying what they should work on to advance to the next stage.
